We are pleased to launch the 4th European Conference on Domestic Violence and to announce the call for papers. We know that many of you who have attended previous conferences are already excited to take part in the conference in Ljubljana. We aim to achieve high standards and provide a good, hospitable atmosphere here in Ljubljana.
We are aware that many people may be cautious about registering for an on-site conference, but we also know that we all appreciate face to face debate and exchange even though we may have some anxieties about travel at this time. In recent months we have learnt a lot about how to take steps to minimise the spread of the virus, and we plan to keep all of our procedures for delegates safety and well-being under review. However, we are aware that the virus has not gone away, and there may be a need for further periods of isolation. As such, we are developing alternative plans should holding the conference on-site not be appropriate. We will let you know what will be done in this case as soon as possible.
Despite this unprecedented situation we are enthusiastic and looking forward to hosting the conference. The team in Ljubljana is working hard with very valuable and excellent support of the initiators of the European Conference on Domestic Violence, John Devaney, Nicky Stanley, Carolina Øverlien, Stephanie Holt and Davina James-Hanman.
We look forward to providing you with a warm welcome.
